This was it. This was the year Iliana picked her birthday party theme and I think she picked the one theme that I could not shop for - anywhere. Iliana chose Barbie Dreamtopia! She found the show on Netflix, or one of those streaming apps, when she was scrolling after watching PinkFung videos. I could only find plates, balloons, etc in regular Barbie which is surprising nothing like Dreamtopia! So, I wanted to share with you some fun ideas I incorporated into our princess's special day, as well as some amazing brands we got to work with!
The first thing I knew I wanted to do was a Balloon Arch! The party is not a 2019 Insta-worthy party unless you have a balloon arch, am I right? I came across Qualatex balloons and the quality of these was amazing. I could blow them up whatever size I wanted! I decided to use the arch as the entrance into the party but you could easily attach it to a wall or add behind a food table! I started with 2 - long PVC pipes with an attachment at the center. IF you want to do a free standing arch I 100% recommend getting stands! See here! I thought I could just stick the PVC into the ground. Long story short - it did NOT work. We put it in between rocks and chairs and still had to keep picking it up. Lesson learned.
Next, I found these amazing adult-sized Barbie boxes that a couple used as a Halloween costume, the adults loved them as you can see but they were ultimately for the kiddos. I started with wardrobe boxes from Home Depot (here), painted with just some white matte paint from the hardware store, and cut out a large enough rectangle in the front that a 4-year-old could step into . I printed off some fun Dreamtopia logos (I'm not linking because I totally got off Google , but you can save them as PDF's and print them using Adobe onto multiple pages), glued them to foam board, cut around them using a box cutter and hot glued them to the painted boxes - abrah kadabrah - child-size Dreamtopia Barbie boxes!

I found Bellsnberries on Etsy. and yall! They have the cutest freaking stuff, from cake toppers to birthday banners for all kinds of fun themes. As soon as I told them I was doing Dreamtopia, they went to work and gave me "unicorns, rainbows and mermaids, oh my!" We had an amazing mermaid birthday banner with beautiful detail, cupcake toppers featuring unicorns, mermaid tails and "4"'s, a perfect cake topper and favor tags!

Speaking of favors - I hate spending lots of money on favors that kids are going to play with for 5 minutes or break in 5 minutes and then either way, it ends up in the trash. So we did a Candy Bar! I borrowed jars from my aunt and mom and filled them with candies from Dollar Tree!
- 3 boxes of Skittles
- 2 bags of peach rings
- 2 bags of Starburst
- Pixie sticks (and y'all, these were a flashback! It was so funny the kids did not know what to do with them)
- bag of colored marshmallows
-2 bags of bright colored twizzlers
The kids loved filling their bags with sugar-filled goodies before they left. #sorrynotsorry to the parents.
Another brand that I came across that I am absolutely obsessed with now is Coterie Party - a party brand that sends you themed boxes filled with decor you have not seen anywhere else! They gifted us with their "Yes Way, Ombre" pack, filled with AWESOME hexagon plates, gold plastic wear, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" letter balloons, large gold confetti, glitter pastel candles and matching cups and napkins! I'm telling you, this brand is a game-changer because all you need after Coterie Party is your invite list.

For food, we went simple with snacks like chips and salsa, unicorn bark (which melted almost immediately - still delicious, but make this only if you're going to be inside because it was a mess!), cheetos and heart-shaped peanut butter sandwiches.
Lastly, I was so excited to find an affordable, PINK mini instant camera! You can purchase the whole set - here or they also sell them separate at Walmart along with your extra film (which is NOT included with the camera)
I hope this gives you some ideas to make your next little girl's party a complete dream - Barbie Dreamtopia to be exact - with a cherry on top!
